Adoption and Fostering Available Again

Free Adoptions Offered on Friday

The Kern County Animal Shelter in Bakersfield has resumed normal adoption and fostering services at 3951 Fruitvale Ave. The shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm, and on Wednesdays from 2pm to 7pm.

To celebrate the resumption of services, the shelter is offering free pet adoptions on Friday, October 21. The adoption fee for all cats and dogs will be waived for that day only.

The Kern County Animal Shelter is a full-service animal shelter serving residents of the county. The shelter provides a variety of services, including adoption, fostering, vaccinations, microchipping, and spay and neuter surgeries.
